Licence Agreement
Last updated 17 October 2026
This agreement is between you and the developer of Math Studio (“we”). By installing or using Math Studio you accept it. If you don’t accept it, don’t install the software.
1. What you may do
Math Studio is free. Every installation is Math Studio Pro, with every feature, and it does not expire. There is no key and no sign-in. We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Math Studio on any number of computers, for personal, study, research or work purposes, including documents you sell or publish.
You own the equations and documents you make with Math Studio.
2. What you may not do
- Sell, rent or charge for Math Studio itself, or publish a changed copy of it.
- Remove or change copyright, licence or trademark notices.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Math Studio, except where the law allows it despite this limit.
- Use it to break the law or anyone else’s rights.
You may share the official download link with anyone.
3. Other people’s software
Math Studio includes open-source components (for example MathLive, KaTeX and React) and fonts under their own licences, listed on the Licences page. Those licences apply to those components. Microsoft, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies; Math Studio is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft. You need your own licence for Microsoft Office.
4. Updates and internet use
Once a day, and when you open About, Math Studio checks GitHub for a newer version and downloads updates automatically. What this sends is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. No warranty
Math Studio is given free and “as is”, without any warranty, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it is free of errors, that it suits your purpose, or that it will always work with future versions of Office. Keep backups of important documents.
6. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using or not being able to use Math Studio, including lost or damaged documents, lost data, lost profit or indirect damage. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for deliberate wrongdoing or gross negligence.
7. Ending
This agreement ends if you break it. You may end it at any time by uninstalling Math Studio. Sections 3, 5, 6 and 8 continue after it ends.
8. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Thailand. If a part of it can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
