Privacy Policy

Math Studio has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. We don’t run a server that collects anything about you. This page lists every way data leaves your computer, so you can check.

Who we are

Math Studio is made by an individual developer in Thailand, who is the data controller under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Contact: the Math Studio Community on LINE OpenChat.

In the app

  • Your equations and documents stay in your files. Each equation keeps its LaTeX inside the document so you can edit it again. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Updates. Once a day, and when you open About, the app asks GitHub for the latest version and downloads updates from GitHub. GitHub sees your IP address and the app’s version, as with any download. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
  • No sign-in, no key. Everyone has Math Studio Pro, so the app asks for no account, email or licence key.
  • Uninstalling removes the app’s files and everything it stored in Windows.

On this website

  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks (Cloudflare privacy policy).
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address (Google privacy policy).
  • The download count and the latest version are read from GitHub by your browser, so GitHub sees your IP address.
  • No cookies and no analytics.
  • The download itself comes from GitHub.

LINE community and donations

  • If you join the LINE OpenChat, LINE’s own privacy policy applies. We see only your OpenChat profile name and what you post there.
  • Donations are optional bank transfers by PromptPay. We see only what our bank shows us about a transfer (such as the sender’s name, amount and time) and use it only to keep our own records.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent, and you may complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee. Because we keep almost nothing, most requests are already met; ask us in the LINE community if you need anything.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. A change that collects more data will also be announced in the LINE community before it takes effect.
